At Next Adventure Travels, we offer travel consultation, design, and the human touch required for exceptional customer service. The investment for our services varies based on several trip factors. For complex trips involving intricate itinerary or route creation and/or multiple destinations, a planning fee applies for the research and customization involved. Standardized trips, like all-inclusive resort packages in the Caribbean or Mexico or Disney World packages, usually don't have a planning fee as they are more straightforward. In these instances the commission provided by our suppliers that is already integrated into the overall cost of your trip compensates our service. Any planning fee is openly discussed during your consultation call so you're fully aware of any fees upfront.

Our services often save you money by saving you hours, days, and weeks of planning, booking, managing, and confirming the endless array of services needed for a fantastic trip. Travel protection policies are always recommended and highly encouraged. Given what we learned from the recent pandemic, we request that all of our travelers have some form of trip protection when traveling internationally. If you choose to forgo insurance we require that you let us know in writing. It is crucial to purchase trip protection policies within 14 days of the deposit date to ensure maximum policy benefits. Clients are responsible for understanding the terms and conditions of their protection policy, and we will do our best to provide travel protection quotes appropriate to your needs.
This strongly depends on the type of trip. For example, safaris, expeditions and river cruises all require longer lead times – roughly 12-18 months prior to travel – to secure ideal space and accommodations. For a typical 7+ day international vacation, we recommend planning 6-11 months in advance. If you are interested in traveling over holidays periods such as spring break, no time is too soon to start planning and lock in availability. In general, the earlier we start working together the smoother the process! This way we can help you find the best options for you from day one!
Initially we like to have a phone consultation with each client. Beyond that, our agents are happy to find a communication style that works best for you. This is typically email, phone or text. We utilize specific email and trip planning software that keeps all of your travel details in one place and ensures that our agents are well-prepared for client communication.
The vast majority of our work involves crafting one-of-a-kind vacation packages that include all components of the trip. Our partners secure and offer to us negotiated, contracted rates that are confidential to the public and are therefore unable to be itemized. If adjustments need to be made to the itinerary, we will provide you with a new price following the changes.
While we do not work with AirBNB, we do have the ability to book our clients through VRBO (which is owned by Expedia) and have a vast network of vetted industry partners that specialize in villas, private residences, and unique-accommodation stays to match our clients’ needs.
We are here for you! We understand that life happens and plans may have to change for a myriad of reasons. Cancellation penalties vary by supplier and therefore, travel protection is always encouraged and recommended as a safeguard. We offer several travel insurance policies to match the needs of each client.
No...but many times we can pair the components you book on your own with points to other components that we CAN book for you. Make sure to tell us about any rewards points you plan to use during your consultation call so that we can plan our proposal accordingly.
Technically we COULD, as long as the flights originate in the U.S. but we don't think you'll want us to do that. Airlines do not pay travel agents for flight bookings alone, therefore we would need to charge you a fee for compensation to do so. Since most people today can book flights easily online, and considering you get a lot of flexibility booking direct with the airline itself, we know avoiding a fee is more than likely your best option when it comes to booking flights on their own. If you do want to book flights with a hotel as part of a package that is where we shine as this gives us access to “bulk fares” that come into play when two or more travel components are booked together.
Not at all! This is YOUR trip. That means we take our cues from you. During your consultation call our advisors will find out what pieces of your trip you’d like to participate in and keep you are informed of everything that’s happening along the way.
Absolutely! We have many clients who don’t have the time, energy or interest in planning every single detail of their trip. They would rather just show up and relax when it’s time to travel! Our Travel Advisors will communicate with you ahead of time to discover how much involvement you want and work with you accordingly.
We never want our clients to feel limited! We know there are a ton of options out there and part of our job is making sure we present the BEST options for YOU. After we chat about what you’re looking for, we’ll put together a proposal based on YOUR needs, not ours. Generally we only work with one proposal at a time as these are highly curated and we have the ability to put packages on hold and grab package components such as flights and cruise cabins to lock in pricing and get them off the market while our clients decide. However, as ethical travel advisors we only ever grab one set of trip components at a time. If you aren’t in love with what we present we can go back to the drawing board and try again until we find the best fit for you!
Generally speaking if you’ve booked your trip within the last 30 days and it’s not been paid in full, many suppliers will allow the option to transfer your booking so we can help you with everything moving forward! However, if this is not possible, you would have to cancel your booking and rebook through our agency to work with one of our Travel Advisors! We cannot work on trips that are not actively under our agency unless a client pays a consulting fee specifically. If this applies to you, please reach out and we can discuss your options.
